About Faith

Welcome to Faith’s Roadmap
Our story starts with our fourth daughter, Faith. She was born in 2001, but she was not officially diagnosed with autism until she was 19 years old.
When Faith was two, we knew her development was different from our other children. We felt lost. We took her to a behavioral pediatrician who could not provide a diagnosis. Later, her school recognized her needs, classified her with autism, and placed her in an autism program.
However, when we tried to access state services through the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), we were denied. Because she lacked an official medical diagnosis, the system turned us away.
Eventually, with the help of a guide who walked us through the application process, we obtained the official diagnosis, reapplied, and were finally approved. Even after approval, navigating the system felt uncertain. We constantly wondered if we were missing out on vital support.
We created this site to be the exhaustive resource we never had. Whether you are at the very beginning of a loved one’s diagnosis journey or in the middle of navigating state systems, we want to ensure you know every service available to you.
Our prayer is that this platform serves as a valuable guide and a beacon of hope for your family.
